Understanding Early Aggression
An early aggressive rush is designed to end the game before you can even establish an economy. Rushes rely entirely on the element of surprise and a lack of early defenses. If they have multiple barracks and no economic structures, prepare for an immediate assault. Stay calm, stick to your defensive protocols, and trust your static defenses. By mastering these defensive strategies, you will turn enemy rushes into easy victories.
Bunkering Down
The moment you confirm a rush is incoming, you must alter your build order instantly. Forcing the enemy to walk through a narrow gap drastically reduces their damage output. If you have the resources, construct one or two basic defensive towers immediately. If they refuse to attack into your towers, you have already won the stalling war. However, a ruined economy is better than a destroyed town hall and a game over screen.

Always repair your critical structures during the fight; do not let them fall. Position your ranged defenders at the very edge of the high ground for maximum effect. Ignore the cheap meat shields and go for the high-value targets. If the enemy uses a "proxy" strategy (building production structures near your base), destroy them immediately. Once you repel the attack, do not counter-attack immediately unless you are certain you can win.

Specialized Defenses
Not all rushes are created equal; you must adapt to the specific type of units attacking. Single-target towers will simply be overwhelmed by the sheer number of targets. Kiting these slow, heavy units with fast ranged attackers is also highly effective. Sometimes, the enemy will execute a 'tower rush,' building offensive turrets near your base.
